It all started in October 2018 with the purchase of a jeep to tow a caravan. And ideas for "improvements" came immediately.

The biggest challenge was finding a canvas top for the two rows of seats, so in 2019, lacking alternatives (perhaps I didn't look hard enough), I ended up designing the first top, and my wife sewed it. The shape was very similar to the Guadiana model, but the canvas was of common quality.

Even so, I decided to put it up for sale on OLX web site, just to see if I was the only one who wanted a top with these characteristics.

There was interest, but the product needed improvement, and a good presentation.

So, in 2020, having a lot of free time at home (Covid), I looked for good fabrics in various colors, suitable sewing methods, a more robust fastening system, and most importantly, I created the TERRAZUL website where I explain everything about the top.

It all started as a hoby, and today these canvas tops are found in many places. I'm always surprised when I'm contacted from places so far from Portugal, as you can see on the map. Without a doubt, the USA surprised me the most.

Over the years, the convertible top has evolved to become a better and more durable product, just as other canvas products are emerging.
